I'm not sure how I'm going to introduce the character so I started when he meets his boss. This is the first day on the job. These scenes will be more complicated as I expand the scene but are a good guide to how it will go.
Ok I redesigned the oilcan because i didn't feel the previous design would translate well to 3d. I also think the overall structure of the face lends to make a character that can show a wider range of emotion. I also prefer the astetics of two eyes.

My main accomplishment this week has been in the story. After talking with a few people about the storyline I have decided to make the story focused on the oilcan instead of a story about jobs and policies. I have decided through the help of (Tyler M) to show how being yourself is the best way to accomplish your goals . In the beginning of the story he will try to move up the ranks by trying to outdo himself by trying to oil too many machines at once. After failing he will learn to use his gifts (an oil spout specially made to reach hard spots and his intelligence) to succeed.
I am having alot of trouble with the eye. I am trying to combine the mechanical aspect with the organic. I think in this picture the eye is to big and the bottom of the can needs to be bigger. I feel these technicalities are essential to the character. This will be a big problem when building in 3-d.
here I was wondering whether I should make the eye more mechanical having three or four working parts or draw it more organic. On paper the eye seems to work better organic but I think in 3d a more mechanical approach might work.
