I am using two wooden horses and two really tough planks of oak to support the set. Their were a bunch of old doors in the rafters so I brought those down and layed them side by side.  Then I used large plastic sheets to cover them. This will seal them from all the moisture that the dirt will bring after I use water to harden the dirt. Since there will be so much weight on top of the doors I am going to use some more support in the middle. The small front section i wanted to make a little peak between the trees. it turned out kinda cool so i set up some lights on it to see what I had.

Ok I've been developing the stop motion set for string in my back shed. The set is about 12 ft by 8ft. I've been digging up dirt and bringing it in along with branches and moss. Lots of big rocks and small flowers that dry up nice. The dirt tends to be dry and rocky so you have to break up alot of the dirt with your hands. The dirt also contains alot of clay, so when I soak it down with water it sticks together nicely. finally taking the finer dirt to make a top layer than bits of moss, store bought and found for the top layer. This will eventually look like a forest!
